The MIDI LINK is a standalone Interface Unit
that lets you control your WASP, GNAT or any other EDP
LINK compatible device from any suitable MIDI controller
such as a PC, MIDI Keyboard or MIDI Sequencer. It has
the same functionality as the miniMIDI-WASP but does not
require you modify your WASP/GNAT and is thus suitable
for those looking for a ready-to-go solution.
It is fitted with a MIDI-IN and MIDI-THRU
socket and has a LINK socket which can be connected to
any EDP LINK compatible instrument.
The unit uses your instruments existing power
supply to provide power for the MIDI LINK and
incorporates a feed-through socket to reconnect power to
your instrument.
The unit is supplied with a 50cm DC-DC Cable
(terminated with 3.5mm Jack plugs) and a 50cm LINK
Cable.
- Connect
your original WASP Power supply to the far
left DC socket marked [9VDC] NB: Tip = 9V and
Screen = 0V.
- Fit
the DC-DC cable between the DC socket marked
[9VDC - WASP] and your WASP (Or any other LINK
controlled device)
- Connect
the LINK cable between the socket marked
[LINK] and the LINK socket on the WASP
- Connect
your MIDI Controller to the socket marked
[MIDI-IN]
