Constructors should refer to the Component
Overlays along with,
the Bill of Materials
for the current value of all components, and
the General
Construction Notes for general PCB
assembly guidelines.
-
-
-
Assemble ES16 Column 1 PCB
-
Assemble the Column 2 PCB except for the
2x jack sub-assemblies
-
Mount the 2x sub-assemblies but do not
solder
-
Offer the assembly up to the front panel
securing the jacks with the supplied nuts
-
Solder the 2x sub-assemblies in place and
then remove the complete assembly
-
Mount all components to the ES16 Column 3
PCB except for the 2x carrier sub-assemblies and
the LED
-
Mount the 2x sub-assemblies but do not
solder
-
Offer the assembly up to the front panel
securing using the supplied nuts and washers
-
Check that the body of the switch toggle
action is vertical and solder in to place along
with the jack sub-assembly
-
Mount the LED and solder in to place
-
Mount all components on to the ES16 PCB
-
Mount the assemblies on to the front
panel and then fit the main board ensuring that
the IDC sockets are correctly aligned
C201 on the Main PCB and C102 on the Column 3
PCB are optional and should initially be omitted. They
should only be fitted if you observe any instability
in the envelope output
There
are 2 jumpers on the main board that allow the user
to define the 'operational direction' of the
[DELAY], [ATTACK], [DECAY] and [RELEASE] pots:-
- The
'regular' EuroRack approach is for the minimum
pot position to be equivalent to the shortest
time period for the rise/fall slope. For this
option set Vmax - JP1 to +12V and Vmin - JP2 to
0V
- The
Serge approach is for the minimum position to be
equivalent to the maximum time period for the
rise/fall slope. For this option set Vmax - JP1
to 0V and Vmin - JP2 to +12V
