The PTN78020A is a high-efficiency buck-boost-integrated switching regulators (ISR).The PTN78020A operates over an input voltage range of 9 V to 29 V, and provides high-efficiency, positive-to-negative voltage conversion for loads of up to 2 A. The output voltage is set using a single external resistor, and may be adjusted to any value within the range, –15V to –3V.
For a post-regulated -12VDC the PTN78020A output should be set to -15V and will yield a maximum rating of ~1.6A. For a non-post-regulated -12VDC the PTN78020A output can be set to -12V yielding a rating of ~2.1A
