The IF102 is a double-pulse waveform generator
(DPWG). Double pulse waveforms have a huge range
of timbres, because of cancellation and reinforcement of
the harmonics of the two pulses.
In the present module, the two pulses have equal widths,
but the position and amplitude of the second pulse are
variable. All three of these parameters are under
voltage control, thus providing a wide range of dynamic
timbral variations.
The circuitry is designed to be driven by a +/-V saw
wave, although other inputs can produce interesting
results. A trimmer, located on the front panel, allows
proper matching of the module to the input wave.
