Sound Samples from CGS Modules
Dave Wright was kind enough to create the following sound samples for Ken, using the CGS modules that he has constructed.
Sound Sample: INFINITE SWARM OF TRIANGLES
Notes from Dave: "My panel has it with the three outputs, the mix out and a diatonic converter. I am feeding all 5 of the outputs to differnt triangle wave VCOs all slightly detuned. Near the end I switch it into random mode. Its being driven by two pulse LFOs."
Sound Sample: SUB-OSCILLATOR
Notes from Dave: "There are two vcos going into inputs A and B , the second one scaled down to 5. They are pretty much in tune and don't change their pitch at all. All sounds are created by manually going through the different settings of the Sub-Oscillator, down into rhythm pulses to just pulses at the end."
Sound Sample: SEQUENTIAL SWITCH/BURST/STEINER
Notes from Dave: "Here is a groove on my Sequential Switch getting a saw LFO as a clock. The pulse of the same LFO is going to the Burst Generator and getting clock. Gate 1 out of the sequencer is hitting the Burst Generator. The sequencer out goes to a vco and the vco to the Steiner. The Burst Generator output is fed to an A/D generator and that goes to the Steiner."
Sound Sample: SUPER PSYCHO LFO ON TRIANGLE VCO
Notes from Dave: "Here the Super Psycho LFO's output drives a triangle vco, manually adjusted through a wide variety of what it can do, though not all. I actually prefer this for filters and etc - but this gives people a clearer idea of its output. It starts as straight tone - then I turn on one osc on at a time, then change the speeds, glide amount and hi/low/off options."

Notes from Dave: "It uses the Gated Comparator as a sequencer, getting a pulse clock and a pulse input- with a Super Psycho LFO real slow on the threshold. The gated outs are triggering the drum tone boards, the chimes and the noise through the low pass gate (in gate mode) - not much manual tweaking."

Notes from Dave: "It uses the gated comparator as a sequencer, getting a pulse clock and a pulse input- with a Super Psycho LFO real slow on the threshold. The gated outs are triggering the drum tone boards, the chimes and the noise through the low pass gate (in gate mode) - not much manual tweaking. It starts off as two drum tone oscs in low mode doing a rhythm. Fuzz is applied to the second one before the chime comes in. A fixed chime decay is adjusted. The variable chime is brought in and is constantly tweaked (its three pitches and decay). The snare that comes in is the digital white noise going through a low pass gate set to just gate mode. Its getting the same triggers as the rest. Eventually noise speed, fuzz and decays are ajdusted. They are all going to a cgs CV Mega Mixer in audio mode and levels are adjusted in and out."
