This design provides a low-cost solution that uses standard fixed-voltage regulators. Purists may wish to use a precision voltage regulator design.

The unit has the following features:-

Output voltages: +15V, -15V
Output current: in excess of 500mA per rail
Current limiting and thermal shutdown protection

Panel controls:

None. Optional LED status indicators for +15V and -15V.

Connectors:

3 x Internal buss connectors with +15V, Analog Ground, Digital Ground and -15V connections

A pcb and component kit (excluding transformer) are available by visiting our shopping page. By substituting other members from the 78xx/79xx family you can generate a variety of power supply outputs.

To complete the module you will need to connect to a mains transformer. Please refer to this document for some suggestions.
