The MIDI-IFG Interface
Unit provides an interface between systems using MIDI, RS232
and RS485 communication channels. By adding a Bluetooth Serial
Adaptor you gain remote control capability.
MIDI-IFG was designed
as a low-cost, introductory solution to the Be-Station and operates
with the Be-Mix
application on your PDA to provide remote control of an expanding
range of
audio equipment including PM5D, M7CL, DM2000 and LS9 digital
mixing consoles.
This
unit has 3 modes of operation selected by a 3-position switch:
RS232
<-> RS485
RS232
<-> MIDI
RS485
<-> MIDI
An
off-the-shelf Bluetooth RS232 adaptor can be connected
to the RS232 port to provide remote control support
inconjunction with the Be-Mix
application.
The
unit can be powered from either the internal AA battery pack
or via an
external power source (7-15 VDC/6-12VAC/any polatiry).
Internal
dipswitches allow baudrate selection as follows:-
RS232
baudrates: 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200,
128000, 230400.
RS485
baudrates: 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200,
128000, 230400, 2500000 (DMX)
The unit fits in
to a standard 140mm x 110mm x 35mm ABS enclosure
