Installing and Using Drummer
Installing as a stand-alone program
- Unzip the file DRUMMER.ZIP
- Copy the file DRUMMER.APP to a suitable APP directory
on your machine. You will also need to copy the file SYS$8087.LDD in to the
same location
- Install the 3 files DRUM0?.DRM and the file
RHYTHM.LST in to a directory called MIDI on your Internal drive (M:)
- Install the Drummer application as normal (Psion-I or
via the Apps/Install option via the System menu).
- Start the Drummer application and press the <MENU> key and select `Drummer Settings'. As per the User Guide you MUST specify a setting for the
MIDI Interface Output Port. For the freeware version this will either 'RS232-38,400 baud' or `RS232 - 57,600 baud'. You must also provide the correct
cables for connecting your Psion to the MIDI device (see Connecting to your MIDI device' in the User Guide for further details).
- Return to the Drummer Descriptor List and select a
rhythmn
- If your MIDI device is connected, press <ENTER>

- Now read the User Guide
Installing as a plugin program to MIDI3c
- Unzip the file DRUMMER.ZIP
- Copy the file DRUMMER.APP to the same directory that
you have MIDI3C.APP installed
- Install the 3 files DRUM0?.DRM and the file
RHYTHM.LST in to the MIDI directory on your Internal drive (M:)
- Start the Drummer by selecting `Rhythm Generator'
from the `Utilities' menu in MIDi3c.
