Payment and Order Processing

When your order is ready:-
  1. Proceed to 'Checkout' where you will need to enter your shipping details before getting confirmation of the shipping costs
  2. Click (read) 'I accept the terms and conditions' and
  3. Select 'PayPal' for an immediate PayPal payment, OR
  4. Select 'Secure Checkout'  if you need additional information (for example, insurance) or an alternate payment method.

(Note: you can enter this section while filling your Shopping cart to check on shipping costs
as you proceed, simply click the 'BACK' button to continue shopping)

Please note that payments in currencies other than Australian Dollars will incur an additional fee of AUD$25 to cover handling and exchange rates.

Once you have placed your order you will shortly receive an email from the 'Shopping Cart' confirming your shop order details, a copy of which is sent to us at ELBY Designs. We will then send you a copy of your invoice (this will have the ELBY Designs logo on it) with total costs.

Most orders will ship within 2-5 days of receipt of  payment. Delivery times are dependent on your location and selected service. For regular post, overseas customers should allow, typically, 7-14 days for delivery while local customers should expect delivery within 2-3 days from date of despatch.

A 'goods dispatched' email will be sent on the day the goods are shipped and will include a reference number. For services with a tracking option this will be the tracking number for the shipment, for all other services this reference is simply a 'provider (usually Australia Post) service reference number' and cannot be tracked.

FOB Destination

By completing an order and reading these Terms and Conditions, customers acknowledge that they accept full responsibility for the shipment once they have been notified of the dispatch, and that ELBY Designs will not be held responsible for the shipment once it has left our premises and been handed over to the chosen service provider.

NOTE - it is a criminal offence for us to falsify customs declaration. PLEASE do not ask us to falsify sales values

Overseas shipping is by :-
1) *AUSPOST Economy Air (NO-TRACKING - typically 10+ days), or
2) AUSPOST Standard (TRACKING - typically 6+ days), or
3) AUSPOST Courier (TRACKING - typically 3+ days).
Shipping within Australia is either by regular Australia Post or Express Post.
Please note that AUSPOST Economy Air has an upper weight limit of 2kg. Shipments above this weight will not have this option.

What will your package look like?

Small PCB-only Orders

Small pcb-only orders maybe suitable for shipping as letters at a reduced rate.
If you wish to see if this an option for your order, please select 'Pay On Invoice' and add the words "Letter Request" in the COMMENTS field. We will check the suitability of your package and if applicable, will email you with an updated invoice.
Shipping to Germany

A number of parcels have gone missing when shipped to Germany. You take full responsibility for any losses. To reduce your risks you should select the International Standard or Express options. Alternatively, you can select regular air-mail and accept the greater risks.

Tariffs, Taxes and Duties (International orders only)

*IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee that you will or will not be charged any customs taxes or duties that are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. As such, all applicable VAT, PST and/or HST charges along with brokerage fees will be the responsibility of the Customer and due at the time of delivery. We will not/cannot under value your orders for customs/imports so PLEASE do not ask.  

Warranties, Repairs, Return Policy

We warrant kits and parts for 30 days from the date of purchase. We can repair modules for a minimum charge of AUD$25 plus the cost of any parts. Items may only be returned, with our advance permission, within 10 business days of the date received. Orders cancelled by the customer will incur a 20% cancellation fee. When returning items for repair, PLEASE include a note describing the problem and, if applicable, how the problem can be reproduced.

Further Details on Warranty on Kits

All components supplied in our kits are of high quality and are covered by our standard warranty. However we cannot guarantee components that you have used nor can we guarantee the constructors workmanship. Once a kit has been commenced all warranty claims are void. Should you open a kit and find any damaged or faulty components please contact us immediately to arrange replacements. Similarly, if you open a kit to find it beyond your skill level please contact us within 14 days to arrange a return for credit or exchange.
